KING OF JAZZ IN IRAN
Nicole
Alvandi was born in a small town in Iran, called Hamadan.
He started to express his interest in playing drums at the
age of 5, using pots and pans to make sounds. At the age of
28 he was married to Roza Tarkhanian 18, and they moved to
the capital city of Iran, Tehran. The marriage resulted with
5 children and not an easy task for a man whose passion was
to play the drums. To follow his dream, he was forced to work
about 20 hours a day to support the family, but he always
found time to practice drums and other musical instruments.
His dream was to be able to play on a big band and perform
with famous artists such as Ray Charles and night king cole.
In addition
to playing drums, he thought himself to play clarinet and
saxophone. He produced his music as well as wrote the lyrics
to songs performed by famous singers.
At the
age of 41 he was very determined to earn the world record
of playing continues drums for 72 hours which he accomplished
and was awarded a tital of KING OF JAZZ. His dream then came
reality when he performed with big a band of 10 musicians
from around the world and finally the ultimate dream came
through when he performed with Ray Charles and Night King
Cole on a concert in Iran.

Alvandi promoted many singers in Iran and brought them to
the music world. One of whom is his nephew, Vigen who under
his coaching and persistence made a tremendous contribution
to music industry for the past 4 decades. Vigen is currently
known as a very popular international singer.
Nicole
Alvandi was the legendary drummer, musician, producer and
poet who lived to fulfill his dreams and bring joy and happiness
to thousands of people who enjoyed his music. His persistence
to reach his goals and dreams made us all realize that life
is all about believing in yourself and failure is not an option.
Nicole
Alvandis offsprings are three daughters and two sons.
Alice and Bella, and Hilda me Shawn and my brother Vachick.
My two oldest sisters singers/actress performed for years
in Radio and T.V. Shows and brought joy and happiness to millions
of children on daily basis. They performed live to thousands
of under privileged children of Iran in most urban areas.
My brilliant sister Hilda, my backbone to all my projects
with her unconditional love and support she proved me that
failure is not an option and My brother Vachik, played the
drums at the age of 5 and currently is performing around town.
